University of Colorado Boulder

Information Architecture • Web Experience Design • Brand Development

Welcome to my work with the University of Colorado Boulder where I have had the privilege of leading and collaborating on projects that prioritize user experience, effective design, and seamless functionality.

Clients included: Admissions, Alumni Association, CU Art Museum, Career Services, College of Music, Colorado Law, Colorado Shakespeare Festival, Don’t Ignore It, Facilities Management, Graduate Study in Anthropology, Research Administration & Support, School of Education, and the Student Recreation Center.

Admissions

Led and managed the redesign of CU Boulder’s main admissions website, focusing on enhancing visual appeal, layout, content, structure, and functionality to create an intuitive, user-friendly platform that met the needs of both partners and prospective students. This effort contributed to a 3% year-over-year increase in student recruitment and retention.

Collaborating closely with the admissions team, I provided comprehensive content documentation, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, and taxonomy. I also led training sessions and managed the full build of the site, successfully delivering the project within a tight timeline.

Academics

Spearheaded the redesign and development of all CU Boulder academic program pages, carefully structuring content and using taxonomy to categorize programs by degree type and areas of interest. This approach ensured a streamlined and intuitive experience for users. Throughout the project, I efficiently managed timelines and deliverables using Asana, ensuring smooth coordination and on-time completion.

Proposed functionality for academic program filtering.

Research & Innovation

Transformed the annual research report print piece into engaging article pages by collaborating closely with the Research & Innovation team, using taxonomy to organize and present the content in a clear and accessible way. In addition, I managed all other research-related pages on the main CU Boulder website, ensuring consistency in design and content structure. This collaboration with the Research & Innovation office allowed for a cohesive, user-friendly experience across the entire research section of the site.
